I'm launching my second book!

My second book ‘The Idiotlect Dicktionary’ (with illustrations by John Kilburn) has been accepted for publication by Veer Books and I couldn’t be happier! My friends Katie Szyszko and Joseph Puceković from Beton Collective who run The Green Room at The Grand suggested a launch. We are launching the book there on the 16 December 2023 at 7PM. Make sure you join us!

Katie Szyszko will interview me and performances will follow. Katie is a true literary, curatorial and artistic powerhouse. She holds a PhD in creative writing from the University of Kent.

After the discussion, we will have performances from Josephine Carter, Stephen Emmerson and Stephen Mooney.

Josephine Carter is a Black queer poet, artist, and performer whose work with words is often only dubiously poetic. She makes and uses composed, readymade and improvised texts, recordings and live utterances for good and evil. She lives in Folkestone. Instagram: @rejoice_satyr

Stephen Emmerson is a writer and artist. His books include A PieceFamily Portraits, and Poetry Wholes (all published by If P Then Q), Dungeness (Guillemot Press), and A Box of Ideas (Timglaset). His work has been exhibited widely and examples are held by institutions such as The Bodleian Library, Tate Britain, The National Poetry Library, The University of Sussex, and Buffalo University. Stephen Mooney is a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing and Poetry Coordinator at the University of Surrey. His practice varies across modes, but is often connected to gaming methodologies and mechanics as these collide with language and poetry, from visual to lexical to performative to sculptural to sound. His poetry collections are DCLPShudderedThe Cursory Epic663 Reasons Why and Ratzinger Solo. He is currently working on intra-lingual translations of H.P. Lovecraft’s mythos poems, a series of Judge Dredd poems, and a collection of gamebook poems.
