INTERPRETATION AND DEFINITIONS

  • Data Controller“, for the purposes of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), refers to Me as the legal person which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of Personal Data.

  • Do Not Track” (DNT)” is a concept that has been promoted by regulatory authorities, in particular the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), for the Internet industry to develop and implement a mechanism for allowing internet users to control the tracking of their online activities across websites.
  • I” (referred to as either “I”, “Me” or “My” in this Agreement) refers to Michał Kamil Piotrowski. For the purpose of the GDPR, I am the Data Controller.

  • Sale“, for the purpose of the CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), means selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a Consumer’s personal information to another business or a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
  • Service” refers to the Website.
  • Service Provider” means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by Me to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on My behalf, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analysing how the Service is used. For the purpose of the GDPR, Service Providers are considered Data Processors.
  • Usage Data” refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

I collect the following data: personal identification information: name (first name) and contact data (email address); demographic data (city).

Usage Data:

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.

HOW DO I COLLECT YOUR DATA?

You directly provide me with the personal identification data I collect. I collect data and process data when you voluntarily complete the newsletter submission form.

HOW WILL I USE YOUR DATA?

I collect your data so that I can email you with news about my activities I think you might like. I also use it to analyse website traffic.

HOW DO I STORE YOUR DATA?

I will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. I will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with My legal obligations (for example, if I am required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce My legal agreements and policies.

I will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of My Service, or I am legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

I securely store your Personal Identification Data in the MailPoet database on WordPress. MailPoet servers are placed within the EU (Germany and Finland).

I will keep your Personal Identification Information till 31 December 2026. Once this time period has expired, I will delete your data. 

I may disclose Your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation
  • Protect and defend My rights or property
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
  • Protect the personal safety of Users of the Service or the public

  • MailPoet to send newsletter emails (Aut O’Mattic A8C Ireland Ltd., Grand Canal Dock, 25 Herbert Pl Dublin, D02 AY86, Ireland)
  • PayPal to process payments (S.à.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal L-2449, Luxembourg)

These third-party service providers have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. Data at MailPoet is not shared with or sold to any third party.

REMOVAL OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

I only keep your personal data for the time necessary to fulfil the purpose of collection, namely until you unsubscribe from the newsletter list. To unsubscribe, you can:

VIDEO

I place audiovisual materials from YouTube on My Website. For this purpose, cookies from Google LLC are used. Cookies are generated automatically when playing audiovisual materials from the above-mentioned Website. If You do not agree to this, please do not play the video material.

SERVER LOGS

Using the website involves sending queries to the server on which My Website is located. Each query directed to the server is saved in the server logs, which include, for example: IP address, server date and time, information about the web browser and the operating system You use. The data stored in the server logs are not associated with specific people using the Website and are used as auxiliary material for administrative purposes. Their content is not disclosed to anyone except those authorised to administer the server.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA UNDER GDPR

I may process Personal Data under the following conditions:

  • Consent: You have given Your consent for processing Personal Data for one or more specific purposes.

While I will do everything I can to keep my Service secure, in the event of a data breach or misuse, I will inform My users of what happened and what I have done to rectify it within 30 days.

This privacy notice section for California residents supplements the information contained in My Privacy Policy and it applies solely to all visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California.

  • Health or medical information covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA) or clinical trial data
  • Personal Information covered by certain sector-specific privacy laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FRCA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) or California Financial Information Privacy Act (FIPA), and the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994

YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE CCPA

My Website does not display ads, including personalised ads.

PERSONAL INFORMATION OF MINORS UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE

I do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under the age of 16 through My Service, although certain third party websites that I link to may do so. These third-party websites have their own terms of use and privacy policies and I encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and instruct their children to never provide information on other websites without their permission.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Under California Civil Code Section 1798 (California’s Shine the Light law), California residents with an established business relationship with Me can request information once a year about sharing their Personal Data with third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes.

California Business and Professions Code Section 22581 allows California residents under the age of 18 who are registered users of online sites, services or applications to request and obtain removal of content or information they have publicly posted.
